Total Transformation: "and a little bit of magic thrown in” Our family has lived in our 1922 home for 13 years. We were ready for a change and especially wanted to expand our bedroom space into a master suite so we would no longer be sharing a bathroom with our two teenage daughters. When we first met with Phil, he was interested in what we wanted our home to feel like and how we lived in the living, dining, breakfast area and bedrooms that were the targets of our work together. And then The Sparks Group transformed our home with ease and a little bit of magic thrown in! Here’s our story in brief. Phase 1: Main Floor We left for a family vacation in mid-June and in just 2 weeks, Phil recreated our main floor living spaces with fabulous colors, new furnishings, artwork and lighting. The ambiance that our home exuded was luxurious yet comfortable, we fell immediately in love with our "new" old home. It was truly an extreme makeover and yet captured our personalities and the way we live perfectly! Phase 2: Master Suite, Addition of Two Bathrooms, Build out of Unfinished Basement Spaces We love our new master suite and the attention to detail, comfort and richness. From the walk-in closet to the in suite bathroom and gorgeous marble work, window treatments, a fireplace and so many other artful touches. Phil also added a second bathroom to the second floor, remodeled the basement areas that were semi finished adding a third full bathroom and laundry room. Highlights of the work: The Sparks Group is amazing and Phil has incredible vision. They turned our home into something updated and fabulous, yet maintained all the character associated with an old home, like crown molding, beautiful tile and built in cabinetry. I can't say enough great things about how this has positively impacted our lives! Phil met with us personally many mornings, to discuss the progress and talk through key changes or decisions. I will always be grateful for the craftsmanship, and the care that Phil and the The Sparks Group Team put into our home. Truly inspirational. We now live in the home I've always dreamed of.

We recently inherited a 1912 Bungalow home that had beautiful bones but needed some pretty major remodeling. From the first walk through and throughout the project, we were confident that Phil Sparks and The Sparks Group understood exactly what we wanted and needed out of the home remodel. His knowledge and his crew¹s experience working with this era home has allowed the beauty and history of the house to shine through. The remodel has been extensive: all new plumbing, electrical, a new kitchen, new bathroom addition upstairs, bathroom remodel downstairs, new duct work, insulation, flooring, paint and even yard work. Our house has completely been transformed into a home that we couldn¹t have even begun to dream about. Working with Phil Sparks and his crew has been great! Their attention to detail, energy and creativity has actually made this process fun and exciting. They are truly professionals and craftsmen. We were thrilled that they completed the project on time and on budget. I recently used The Sparks Group for a remodel of our master bath, bedroom, and laundry area. I was apprehensive after having had two previous very difficult remodel jobs with other contractors in the past, but a good friend vouched for their work. Phil and his team were conscientious, considerate, and diligent. The bid was fair and did not constantly edge up in price as it had with other contractors. The quality of the work was excellent and they went out of their way to get everything just the way I wanted it. I am very pleased with the finished product and would heartily recommend The Sparks Group.

In the summer of 2007, my mother Barbara, wanted to have several home remodeling projects completed. My role was to help my mother, gather bids and interview vendors for these jobs. We used several vendors for the various projects, some of which were not very positive. As we interviewed contractors for the remodel of Barbara's three bathrooms, she was reminded by mutual friends that Phil was a designer. From the first moment we met with Phil, we knew we were dealing with a true professional. Barbara had a limited remodeling budget and Phil recognized this. His bid to remodel her bathrooms was very reasonable. Phil made every effort to meet Barbara's limited budget and still provided her with high quality and stylish remodeled bathrooms. He also did several miscellaneous jobs that needed completed, like the tile backsplash in her kitchen & helping her choose updated lighting fixtures for her living room. His team took care of misc. electrical & plumbing work outside of the bathroom remodel. Working with Phil was such a pleasant experience. He is a true professional and this came through in his superb design ideas, level of organization and attention to detail. I would highly recommend The Sparks Group to anyone interested in creating a new space!
